Communion

This week, leading up to Resurrection Sunday, I’d like to take a few moments to share some things I have learned about Communion.

Jesus Christ asked us to keep in remembrance his broken body and shed blood.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 New International Version (NIV)
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

A question I sometimes get is “Should I take the Lord’s Supper? I feel so unworthy.”

Oh yes! My friend we are all unworthy! All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

We all have missed the mark and we all need His forgiveness and healing.

We need to remember and freely receive all He has done for us. Forgiveness of sin in the past, present and future – and the consequences of that sin, which is sickness and death.

The broken body is for the healing of our bodies.

So when you eat of the bread remember it is for your healing.

We have a new life and a new covenant to walk in.

Thank Him for His selfless sacrifice and accept the victory over sin and its consequences that he has given us.

Please email kingdomliving09@gmail.com if you plan to participate in prayer, worship and communion. I’d love to hear from you.

May God’s richest blessings be upon you and your families.

In light of the recent global challenge presented by the corona-virus we are inviting all believers in Christ world-wide to join together spiritually during Easter Week for unified prayer, worship, and communion.

You are invited to join us for prayer, worship and communion.

How may we accomplish this?

Even though we may not be able to physically come together, we are united by the spirit of God and thus we are the One Body of Christ.

The following guidelines are simple and may be used in any culture:

During Easter Week each individual may fit a time in their lives to pray, worship and partake in communion.

I encourage you to reach out to others to join us in the spirit for this Kingdom Call to Prayer.

You are Invitd
Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Love in Christ
