Over the years it has been my experience in learning about the Kingdom of God that many do not really get it. They do not understand that everything in the scriptures relates in one way of the other to the kingdom of God.
This is especially true about the parables and the Gospels.
One could say that the Kingdom of God is the Big Overall Story of the scriptures.
The Book of Acts is filled with examples of the Saints living a Kingdom lifestyle even under physical persecution.
The Kingdom was real to these people.
They understood the transcendent power of the future kingdom was at work in their lives as they went about preaching the good news of the kingdom.
They shared the message of the kingdom with those around them.
They lived the example of Kingdom Citizens before others. (Acts 2:42-47)
They knew that when they spoke about the Kingdom it released the atmosphere of God’s Rule and thus notable miracles were performed and even Devils were cast out.
(Acts 3:1-12) Acts 8:1-12)
But when they believed Philip preaching the THINGS CONCERNING The KINGDOM OF GOD and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Today those who have seen, heard and understood the things concerning the Kingdom of God have been given a great responsibility to herald forth the message of the kingdom. Like a trumpet to those around us.
Jesus commanded His disciples to Go Ye into all the world and preach the kingdom of God.
Jesus told His disciples in Luke 12:29-32:
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom!
Therefore as Sons of God it should also be our pleasure to give the kingdom to others.
