Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

Kingdom Call for Prayer and Communion

Kingdom Call for Prayer and Communion

Colossians 2:5 KJVu
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

This is an open invitation to join together in the spirit for corporate prayer and communion.

This will take place during the week commencing on Palm Sunday April 5, 2020 and ending on Easter Sunday April 12, 2020.

Let us be united in spirit to join together in unity as part of the Body of Christ to focus our attention on three things:

Prayer
Worship
Communion

Using the entire range of Social Media, let us by the Spirit in Unity join together in prayer, worship and communion.

Even though we may be physically separated, we are joined together in spirit and are able to pray as we are led for and with one another and for the world at large during this global crises.

In the same manner let us unite in spirit to worship
giving all Glory, Honor and Praise to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to reach out to others to join us during Easter Week.

Let us remember that Israel was not harmed in any way or by any of the Plagues Egypt painfully experienced.

Why?

They trusted in the True God. They trusted in the God of yesterday, today and forever. They totally relied on a God that would not abandon them.

Israel relied on a God Who would one day lead them to their Promised Land of peace, provision and safety!

Today our Promised Land is in the promises of the kingdom of God.

Many centuries ago on the night when the invisible Destroyer came, the first born of every Egyptian family died. However, it did not affect the Israelites.

Why?

Because the children were obedient to the instruction of God through their leader Moses they remained separated inside of their homes after they had marked the door posts with the blood of a lamb. Then they together ate the Passover meal.

Even the Egyptians who were willing followed those Divine instructions and were protected from the Plague.

Today we too should be praying for Divine guidance particular to our own unique situations.

Today the Blood of the Lamb of God provides remission of sin and the healing of our bodies to all who will come to Christ.

Yes!

The Blood of Christ and the broken body of Christ is efficacious!

It is powerful!

It cleanses us of our sins and provides health to our bodies.

In light of this testimony of how God delivers His people, I invite you all to partake of the Bread and the Wine in Communion in Remembrance of what Christ accomplished on the Cross through his self-sacrificial death, burial and glorious resurrection from the dead.

Receive what He has done for you!

Come to His communion table with humble thanks for His provision in all areas of your life, now and in the future. He has cleansed you from all unrighteousness and given you newness of life!

Christ has given you the way to defeat sin and death. Christ has given the power to be Over-comers!

Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life.

Choose life!

Romans 6:4-8 (NLT)
4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was.

6 We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.

7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.

8 And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him.

Today our Lord and King is our Passover.

Through Christ’s completed redemptive work we have been freely given the ability to live in His kingdom promises as we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

We must encourage one another to keep our priorities in order. Our first priority should be to first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

Again let us join together in spirit during Easter Week for Prayer, Worship and Communion.

“In God We Trust”

I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping and singing outside my window.

It was as if they were joyfully offering praise to their Creator!

As I was on my daily walk, I observed the crows cawing, the geese flying overhead, the squirrels scampering up and down the trees.

I saw the wild turkeys, and deer simply enjoying their lives.

As I looked around I saw daffodils and vinca blooming and the grass turning green.

All were living their lives.

They are all thriving without any fear of tomorrow.

They are all doing what they were created for!

To give praise to their Lord!

Let us learn this lesson from the birds, squirrels, crows and geese.

Let us learn from the beauty of nature which is a result of God’s magnificent creation.

Let us also be wise and follow the example of the birds and their friends.

Let is rise up and praise the Lord each morning !

Let us give God praise and live each day without fear of what might be.

Let us trust in the Lord with all of our heart and lean not to our own understanding.

The Universe we are a part of and this life we all share were created by God. They are all a part of God’s vision.

So then let us acknowledge our Creator in all our ways and He shall direct our steps.

Let us say together as one

The Day of the Lord

God’s blessings be upon you and your families my brother’s and sister’s in Christ.

I awoke this morning thinking, “This could be it!”

This you be the day we have been anticipating.

How many of us have said we would love to be alive when Our Lord returns to gather us together.

This could be the time of His appearing to carry us “home” to His glorious kingdom.

I John 3:1-3 KJV

1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

I love this section of scripture as it alerts us to who true believers really are in Christ.

We are Sons of God even though world does not recognize us!

Because we are God’s Son’s we shall be like Him at His Coming.

What a powerful Hope!

And everyone that is excited by this hope is diligent about the process of purifying themselves even as He is pure while we await His return.

Just like in the parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13 KJV) had the personal responsibility of watching for the Groom. They were personally responsible for being ready. So then it is the personal duty of each one who claims they love Jesus to be prepared to meet Him At His coming.

The Day of the Lord

I Thessalonians 5:1-10 KJV)

1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

I Timothy 2:4 (KJV)

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

God is giving the whole world time to seriously consider accepting Christ as their Lord and King. It is up to each individual to personally respond to His invitation.

We as the Church the Body of Christ have a resonsibility to carry out the words of our Lord when He said, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to every Creature.”

Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus let us continue to watch and be sober,

Looking forward to His glorious return.

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ

Greetings and God ‘s richest blessings be upon you and your families!

“This is the day which the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Keeping our eyes fixed on Christ is the best way for us to overcome fear and find comfort and strength during this Global challenge and time of need.

Only the Lord knows what will be tomorrow. If we know Him it is good enough for then we know who holds tomorrow.

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ

Colossians 3:1-4

1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

4When Christ, who is your a life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

If we believe Christ has been raised in glory from the dead then we can accept that one day we will also be raised in glory to live forever in His glorious kingdom of heaven.

Because we trust Christ we should set our focus on the realities of the things of heaven where Christ after completing His work of Salvation on the Cross has taken His rightful place at the right hand of the throne of God.

Christ is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

The words “It is finished” spoken by Christ on the Cross will resound for all time and eternity proclaiming that our salvation has been completed. The once and for all sacrifice of the shedding of the perfect blood of the “Lamb of God” who has taken away the sins of the world is complete.

Therefore we may have confidence and trust that we also who believe shall one day be “Home” living forever in our rightful place in the kingdom of God.

Oh! What a glorious day this shall be!

Kingdom Call to Global Prayer Keep Your Eyes on Christ

Today right now the entire Global Community is focused on the latest viral attack of Covid 19 upon humanity.

This Corona Virus continues to spread while governments scramble to come up with a solution that will successfully manage this threat to human life.

We as followers of Christ have a responsibility to get involved with assisting our fellow man to alleviate fears and concerns that have the power to cause stress and anxiety. These two in itself causes ill effects on the human immune system making us susceptible to illness.

We know what the Bible teaches concerning fear. Fear is not of God.

God is not the author of fear
However, God is the author of Power, love and a sound mind.

The scriptures also teach that we are to be anxious for nothing but by prayer we should make our requests made known to God.

Therefore in light of our present challenge let’s not be lead by fear but by faith.

Faith in that God knows the remedy for this life-threatening challenge and as we who believe in Christ and believe in His kingdom may join together via all the communication devices at our fingertips including social media, wIll not only join in prayer, but let us share
the Good News with as many as possible.

May we all join in prayer for our heavenly Father to reveal the remedy for this Global attack of the Covid 19 virus on humanity.

May those of us who follow Christ join together in Prayer and Unity knowing it is only the Lord Who can save us from this crises.

Please share this with as many as possible.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NLT)

The Dangers of the Last Days

3 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Romans 8:38 (NLT)
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love

Keep your eyes fixed on Christ!

Colossians 3:1-4 (NLT)

Living the New Life

3 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 And when Christ, who is your[a] life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

Save us Lord Jesus!

Mysteries of the Kingdom

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven & whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven & whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

—Matthew 16:19

My understanding thus far of Matt 16:19 is:

During the days of his flesh Jesus Christ came first to the House of Israel to announce that the promised Kingdom of God on Earth was now available for them to receive and live by. Later on Christ opens the availability of the kingdom up to the Gentiles via the preaching of the Good News through the Church (Body of Christ).

During his lifetime he went about preaching the good news of the kingdom to Israel. However there were some accounts of gentiles having more faith than Israel at the time. This to me indicates the kingdom would one day be available to the gentiles also.

In Matthew 13:11 Christ’s disciples ask Him why he teaches the people in parables? The Lord answers them saying, “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom but to them it is not given.” These disciples would one day carry on the mission of revealing the Kingdom as Christ had instructed. “Go ye into the entire world and preach the Gospel of the kingdom to every creature.”

The phrase “keys of the kingdom” indicate the knowledge of the kingdom is readily available but must be unlocked only by those who have been given the keys to unlock the knowledge and power of the kingdom. These keys to the kingdom were given in order to unlock the mysteries and share these life-changing truths with others.

So then the knowledge of the Kingdom of God was a secret; but it is now an open secret since Christ began to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God.

So we see here mysteries about the kingdom that God kept hidden since before the foundation of the world only to be revealed my none other than God’s only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

E. Stanley Jones teaches that you cannot have the kingdom without the King nor can you have the King without the Kingdom.

Where are these mysteries found? These mysteries of the kingdom of heaven are found and revealed in and by the parables. Christ is the Word of the Kingdom become flesh. This simple truth alone should excite anyone who is seeking first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.

A small example of this partial revealing of the mysteries of the kingdom may be found in the Old Testament. The Old Testament prophets were limited in their visions and were given only a limited view of the kingdom. they saw shadows and types.  For Instance the Old Testament prophet’s revealed that God’s Kingdom would one day come and instantly crush the kingdoms of the earth. It is for this reason that Israel was expecting a Messiah who like David would crush and defeat the oppressors with force.  This was not to be how the kingdom would arrive.

Jesus unlocked the mysteries of the kingdom to his disciples which revealed that his kingdom would not come by overpowering physical force, but it will come as a tiny mustard seed, or a small lump of leaven.

I have come to understand that the power of God is not like a bomb exploding or a bowling ball racing towards the bowling pins in order to knock them over by force. Instead God’s power is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance and faith.

God’s Power is forgiveness, turning the other cheek, a soft answer turning away wrath. Blessing those that persecute. Bless and curse not. God’s Love is loving your enemies. This is the unstoppable laws of God in His kingdom. This is the framework in which we should live.

Other examples of Matt 16:19 may be found throughout the Gospels and The Church Epistles. ok
