There are times in life when we feel as though we must be missing something in our walk with the Lord.
Something just isn’t clicking so we
ask, “Lord what is it you want me to do?”
“Just let me know and I will do it.”
Perhaps the following passage will help focus on what it is the Lord requires:
Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
The answer to the question of what the Lord requires is in the simplicity of the wisdom of this verse.
To do Justly
To Love Mercy
To Walk Humbly
If we truly love God we will display these qualities toward others around us as we walk through life.
