True Repentance

True Repentance

True repentance in the Kingdom of God is not only a change in direction, but a change in direction for the sole purpose of producing godly fruit in one’s life.This alone gives glory to God.

True repentance is a character and lifestyle change under the supervision of the free gift of the Holy Spirit.

One example of this is told in the parable of the unfaithful steward who was given a talent to invest. However he never used it to bring increase to the one that gave it to him. Because of this he was called a wicked and unfaithful steward by his master.

Others who were also given talents used their talents to benefit the master and were given rewards because they were faithful to produce fruit and increase what was given them.

In a similar manner our Heavenly Father makes an investment in each of His dear children. Like the master in this parable, He expects an increase in His investment.

So then to repent to be saved just to escape the torment of Hell is not in itself pleasing to the Father.

Why not?

Because The Father expects an increase in His investment in you.

On the other hand true repentance is bearing good fruit which makes the Father happy and brings blessing to the every faithful child.

His children were saved for the purpose of bearing good fruit.

What is this good fruit?

The good fruit is being conformed into the image of His Dear Son.
The Father desires that all of His children grow into the fullness of Christ. Jesus gave the body of Christ gift ministries for the perfection of the saints, for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ until we all grow into the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-15 KJV)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

In the Kingdom of God the Father expects His children to be fruitful. He is not pleased if we just sit around in some man made religious venue without bearing good fruit giving Him Glory.

So then how is this fruit produced?

The answer to this question is not using our own efforts or will power to change our ways, but by remaining connected to the True Vine, who is the person of Jesus Christ, in a personal relationship with Him. It is the Vine that produces the good fruit in us not us alone for without Christ we can do nothing..

Christ is always with us and in us and available 24/7 to teach us and guide us into all truth.

So then with true repentance there is a change in character and lifestyle and this is the good fruit that is produced in us as we remain connected to the True Vine who is our Lord and our King

    SO True and Liberating. To know that we were created by divine design for the ultimate purpose of all purposes that is to image Christ in the world for the glory of GOD. The good news is that Repentance is a work of the spirit. We don’t have to engineer it or force it. But we are called to apply it with confidence and faith to our lives. To understand that we were made for God’s glory through the process of Fruit bearing has no equal in maturing us as Christians. You may meet Christians who have never grown up….it is because they don’t understand what Frank is speaking of. On the other hand to get this message and apply it is the pathway to Joy. Pay careful attention to these verses:
    1 Chronicles 16:10,29 Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! … 29 Give to the LORD the glory [due] His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
    The offering “is” your fruit bearing, which is true worship. Holiness is integration into the life of God. WOW!!!
    The guaranteed byproduct is Joy, which is the ultimate pleasure.
